Musharraf`s proposals to help settle Kashmir issue: Attique

BRUSSELS: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan, while supporting four points formula of President General Pervez Musharraf on Kashmir, has noted that it would be helpful in finding a solution of the Kashmir dispute.
Kashmir is a political dispute directly related to the fortune of 10.5 million Kashmiris, the Prime Minister AJK stated this while talking to members European Parliament and addressing a banquet hosted by Saeed Khalid Pakistan Ambassador to Brussels.
The Prime Minister went on to say that, peace could not prevail in the South Asian region without peaceful and sustainable solution of Kashmir dispute.
Prime Minister AJK urged International Community to play its due role to solve the Kashmir dispute peacefully instead of avoiding it.
Rejecting the recent report of Baroness Emma Nicholson on Kashmir, the Prime Minister AJK added that various members of the European Parliament have agreed to move 451 amendments on the Report.
Talking to members European Parliament, he reiterated his proposal to setup Coordination Office of European Parliament for Kashmir in AJK. Adhoc delegation of European Parliament made significant progress during 2004-2007 to solve Kashmir issue but Kashmiris are disappointed with the recent report of Baroness Emma Nicholson, Sardar Attique Ahmad maintained.
He lauded the Kashmir projection strategy of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and said that Shaukat Aziz has highlighted the Kashmir issue in every national and international forum.
The Prime Minister AJK urged India to positively response the proposals of President Gen Pervez Musharraf for Kashmir solution of Kashmir dispute.
Earlier, Universal Peace Foundation and SPEED awarded renowned Kashmiri leader Sardar Abdul Qayum Khan Peace Ambassador award.
