Mirwaiz demands Kashmiris' inclusion in Pak-India talks

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that confidence building measures generated by Pak-India talks can help build a political consensus towards the long-term resolution of the Kashmir dispute,
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a media interview in Srinagar demanded the involvement of Kashmiris in the talks process between Pakistan and India. Asked whether Hurriyet will extend support to civil society groups fighting for return of power projects from Hydro Electric Corporation of India, he said, "Definitely we will extend our full support to them. We will talk on every issue which touches the economic interests of Kashmiris."
The Mirwaiz said that they would raise the issue of exploitation of natural resources of Kashmir with the government of India. "We are masters of our destiny", he maintained.
The APHC Chairman said that India has unleashed aggression on Kashmir on many fronts including political, diplomatic, cultural and economic fronts.
