ISLAMABAD : Dr John Kish, President of Wyse Technology Inc, a US-based IT firm pioneer in thin computing will visit Pakistan in August with an aim to set up a hub for its commercial activities due to the country's investor-friendly atmosphere. In this regard, NC Inc, Pakistan has already been appointed as an authorised distributor and service center of Wyse Technology in the region.

The convergence of more powerful networks, dramatic growth in wireless devices, and the rapid adoption of new technologies in markets like India and China make this the right time for Wyse to expand its lead in the thin-client market and deliver entirely new computing benefits to customers around the world.

Wyse Technology Inc was founded in 1961 and is a global leader in Thin Computing. Based in San Jose, California with offices world-wide, Wyse has been the number one in thin-client market share for the last seven years.

Wyse has received the VAR Business magazine "Five-star Rating" and named Microsoft "Embedded Partner of the Year" for three years. The company introduced economical, ergonomic, and attractively designed terminal products of high quality and reliability.

Wyse customers include FedEx, At&T, Abbott, Citibank, Xerox, DHL, Lockheed Martin, Bayer, UPS, Pfizer, Exxon and Marriott etc. While in Pakistan it has already attracted MCB, Allied Bank, EFU, Bank Alfalah, Ibrahim Fibre, Gul Ahmed etc.

Dr Kish, a PhD in Mathematical Logics has more than 15 years of senior management experience in the software industry. Dr Kish served in several senior management positions at Oracle, including senior vice-president of Business Development, vice-president of the Desktop Division, and assistant to the president.

He then led companies like Cacheon, Verbind, Domain Solutions Corporation and is the founding president & CEO of Paraph, a software company that provided management consulting and development services to different organisations.
