Pakistani boy became youngest Microsoft Certified Professional

Young and genious Pakistani kid broke the world record by passing the Microsofts exam and becoming worlds most youngest MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional - at the age of 9years and 27 days only.
The Worlds Youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), passed the exam on 29th March 2006 through Prometric testing center. (Examinee ID=SR2274105 Registration No - n2asyd5345)

True MCP or yet another Paper MCP? |
As an IT educator I know that there are two ways of passing Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) exams. The first method is to learn the technology with hands on experience for at least 6 months, developing deep understanding of all of its functionalities and application in various business implementation models. The second method is to learn-by-heart brain-dump questions and answers. Brain dumps are the memory recollection of the people who have experienced the MCP exams. In Pakistan, evidently, it is easy to obtain exact list of questions and answers prior to the exams even from certified examination centres. In a short, with brain-dump exam preparation methods even a hard working parrot could pass an MCP exam. People who prepare for MCP exam by using brain-dumps often do not even read the complete question before clicking the right choice of answers; they use keywords to identify the question. Unfortunately many people around the world choose to pass MCP exams by using the second methods. Such people are called paper MCP's and do not have the real life deep understanding of the technology that is required for the certification. Allegedly, majority of Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in Pakistan are actually paper MCPs. That may explain the reasons of us lagging behind India in IT.
Dear Babar Iqbal,
If you have used the first method (as described above) to pass your exam, then indeed you are a world champion and should feel good about yourself. The nation is proud of you. You should continue excelling in your studies and also learning the technology, “inshallah” brilliant career would be yours in the future.
However, if you have passed the MCP exam by using the second method, then I would recommend you to be cautious. I think that any brilliant 9 year old student could actually pass MCP exams by working hard to learning-by-heart the questions and answers. This kind of hard work does not have much value, as it does not fulfil the purpose of becoming a true MCP. Such a success would be misleading and may make you feel that you are extraordinary genius. This kind of felicitous over confidence would certainly be damaging towards your regular studies. If your father and elder siblings have also passed their MCP exam by using the second method, then I am afraid that they have not been responsible role-models for you. I hope that you are smart enough to read this text and make your own judgement.

A usggestion |
Hi there.
I am happy that you got that certification in very early age but just a small advice to others who are planning to take that test.
Microsoft certifications are a career certification and help professional who are already working in certain envoinmnet. Nobody should try to sit in this certification if he haven't finish his atleast 3rd or 4th year of undergraduation, becuase this certification will give you nothing just a peace of paper unleass you are professional and already working or seeking a job related to these certifications.
Please don't waste your time on these certification unless you need it becuase you are not going to use it anyway and the outline of these certification change so often so when you will come to the age of using it, there will be some other certification took place
