UK team starts training ANF personnel at Islamabad Int’l airport

RAWALPINDI: The four-member UK team arrived in here Saturday to train Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) personnel in handling scanning machines installed at Islamabad International airport by the UK to control smuggling. The UK team arrived under Pak-UK agreement to control smuggling between the two countries. Director ANF in this connection informed that the Britain experts under a bilateral agreement, some one month back had installed cameras at the Islamabad international airport and started training of the personnel. However, after developing some technical fault in the cameras and to train more personnel, the UK was extended request to send an expert team. "Now, the UK team is here for some days," he concluded.
