ISLAMABAD: Anti Narcotics Force Rawalpindi foiled a drug smuggling bid and recovered drugs worth of Rs. 15 million by arresting four persons including two women.

Anti Narcotics Force Rawalpindi on a tip of stopped a Honda City Car bearing No-LRD-0054 coming from Peshawar side at GT Road Haro Bridge.

During the search of vehicle, they recovered 462.750 kilograms of Chars, one kilogram of opium and one kilograms of Heroin (brown) all worth of Rs. 15 million and arrested four persons including two women.

The ANF personnel have also recovered 88 specimen of 500 fake currency note, 100 specimen of Rs. 100 rupee note and 15 fake specimen of Rs. 1000 rupee notes from their possession.

The names of the arrestees include Aadil Zameen s/o Bashir Khan, Gulraiz (driver) s/o Ajab Shah, Shakila w/o Misal and Musarat w/o Aman Garh Noshera. The women had two minor children. During the investigation, the accused told that drugs were provided to them by Asghar residence of Darra Adam Khail to shift them into southern Punjab.

They also told that they were to be paid Rs. 10000 each per this task. Commander Rawalpindi Force of Regional Directorate Anti Narcotics Brig. Asif Alvi, told that the accused confessed that they are relatives with each other.

He further said that the tendency of using women for drugs after the Presidential Ordinance has been increased.
