RAWALPINDI: The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Rawalpindi Ranges in two different operations in Attock and Hazara Colony has recovered high quality heroin weighing 11 kilograms and 6 kilogram charas and arrested seven persons.
This was informed by Joint Director of ANF, Lt. Col. Wasif Sajjad in a news conference in the regional office of ANF here Friday.
Assistant Director, ANF, Capt. Junaid, Assistant Director, Aamir Subtain and Deputy Director Muhammad Hayat were also present on the occasion.
Lt. Col. Wasif Sajjad informed that on a tip off, Assistant Director, ANF, Attock, Mubarak Ali Khan has stopped a car bearing the number plate of LOH 5685 coming from Peshawar. The ANF officials during search recovered 11 kg herion and arrested driver Abdul Hakeem and smuggler Hayatullah and registered a case against them in ANF Police Station Attock.
In the other action, on authentic information ANF team was constituted under the supervision of Assistant Director, Capt. Junaid. The ANF team during a search operation stopped a car bearing the number plate of GAG 786 in Haji Road, Hazara Colony and recovered 6 kilogram charas.
The ANF team arrested two real brothers named Muhammad Shafique and Muhammad Shahzad and on information getting from them also arrested their two other brothers Muhammad Hanif and Muhammad Saeed.
Wasif Sajjad informed that all four arrested were cousins of Babar Khan Jadoon, Nazim Union Council 3. He said that on the disclosure of arrested persons, high police officials were approached to get permission for interrogation from Nazim Hazara Colony and some police officers of Police Station Ganj Mandi. Lt. Col. Wasif Sajjad in a question said that ANF Police Station would be established in Deena District Jhelum next year.
