PML, allied parties to give better future to the people of Pakistan: PM Aziz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said that the government of PML and its allied parties are committed to give a better future to the people of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister was talking to Federal Minister for Culture Dr. Syed Ghazi Gulab Jamal and to Federal Minister for Political Affairs Engineer Amir Muqaam who called on him at the Prime Minister`s House here on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister said that the government has provided higher income, better infrastructure as well as necessary facilities to the people and the future will augur well for Pakistan with the continuity and consistency in policies.
The Prime Minister said that the ongoing structural reforms have yielded conducive environment for economic growth and income generation. The Prime Minister said that the government of PML and its coalition partners has a strong collection of elect-able candidates as well as track record of solid performance and we will contest the upcoming general elections from one platform.
The discussion during the meeting focused on the overall political situation in the country and it was agreed that most important political event is the upcoming Presidential Election, which will guarantee the stability and security of Pakistan.
The ministers strongly supported the re-election of President Musharraf for another term and expressed confidence that this will
augur well for the future of Pakistan, they added.
The meeting also discussed PML activities in NWFP and the party`s strategy for the coming elections. The ministers while appreciating the level of development undertaken during the last five years, termed it as unprecedented in the country`s history.
They said that this trend needs to be continued so that the people benefit directly from the improved economic situation in the country.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister, Commander (Retd) Khalil-ur-Rehman was also present during the meeting.
