PML-Q strikes deal with PPP in Sindh

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, has struck a deal with the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Sindh government after receiving a positive signal from PPP provincial leadership for giving him two ministries and two adviseries in the Sindh cabinet. Sources told our sources that the two provincial ministries and two adviseries had been decided at a meeting held between the PML-Q chief and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah. The two ministers and advisers will soon join the provincial cabinet. The names of two ministers under consideration are Shahreyar Meher and Ejaz Shirazi while Halim Adil Shaikh and Mohammed Ali Malkani are considered for advisers, the sources added. Meanwhile, the PML-Q chief reiterated that his party would work with the ruling PPP in the larger interest of the province and the country. He said this while talking to media persons after holding talks with the Sindh Chief Minister at the Chief Minister’s House here on Wednesday. The PML-Q chief called on the Chief Minister Sindh, leading a 20-member delegation of his party men at his office. Shujaat reiterated his party’s continued support to the PPP government. He claimed that the PML-Q offered full support to the PPP government in larger national interest. “PML-Q definitely will support the government in all its policies of national interest,” Shujaat added. He said he also held a detailed meeting with the MQM leadership and it was the desire of his party that the MQM continue its support to the present government. Earlier, the Sindh Chief Minister welcomed the PML-Q delegation. He hoped the alliance would work for democracy and serve the masses without any discrimination. Senior Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq and other ministers Manzoor Wassan, Mohammed Ayaz Soomro, Jam Yousuf Darejo and Jam Mehtab were also present on the occasion. End.
