Accord signed to sell Super Mashshak aircraft to Iraq

ISLAMABAD: Under a contract signed here on Monday, Pakistan will sell Super Mashshak aircraft to Iraq.

The contract was signed by General Anwer Hamad Ameen Ahmed, Commander Iraqi Air Force, and Air Marshal Sohail Gul Khan, Chairman, PAC Kamra. The sale of Super Mashshak aircraft to the Iraqi Air Force is a major milestone in the export of aviation products of Pakistan. Federal Minister for Defence Production, Rana Tanvir Hussain and Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt were present on the occasion.

Under another accord, PAF will provide training to Iraq Air Defence Force personnel, in all spheres of modern air force concept pertaining to different fields of special air defence and air crew. The agreement was signed by the CAS from the Pakistan side and commander Iraqi Air Force. General Anwer Hamad Ameen Ahmad Ahmed also called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the PM House.

Speaking on the occasion the prime minister said that Pakistan would provide assistance to Iraq in fields of training and development. He further said that Pakistan Air Force has a rich experience in training personnel of friendly countries and would, undoubtedly, assist in developing Iraqi Air Force on modern grounds.The prime minster and Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanvir Hussain also witnessed the agreements signing ceremony.
