SAHIWAL/QUETTA: At least 16 people were killed in two separate road accidents on Wednesday. Eight people were killed and 25 others severely injured when a bus collided with a truck in Sahiwal.

According to details, the bus which was travelling between Raiwind and Multan crashed into the truck coming from the opposite side, killing eight people on the spot.

Meanwhile, eight people, including women and children, were killed in a road accident in Kuchlak, some 25 km off Quetta. Police sources said that a car carrying nine members of a family was on its way from border town of Chaman to Quetta.

It collided head-on with a truck. Resultantly, four occupants of the car died on the spot and five others received injuries.
