MIRPUR: At least 12 people, including four women, were killed and 14 others injured, 8 of them seriously when a passenger wagon fell into deep ravine in mountainous Bagh district Sunday morning, officials said.

Deputy Commissioner Bagh district Dr. Ibrar Azam told APP over telephone that Rawalpindi-bound Coaster (Peshawer-E-2404) was on way from Sudhan Galli when it met the accident at about 6.30 am.

It fell in to about 250-feet deep ravine at Arja Bridge, about 25-km from Bagh City after going out of control of the driver. Resultantly, 12 of its occupants died on the spot besides injuries to 14 others.

Most of the deceased belonged to Abbottabad, Peashwar, Swat besides different parts of AJK, the police sources added.
