KARACHI: The anti violent crime cell (AVCC) on Friday arrested a key suspect involved in the murder of three Chinese engineers in Hub a few months ago, a police official confirmed.
According to the police, Wali Muhammad alias Wallo, and his aide Hasnain were arrested near Northern by-pass. On a secret tip-off, the police said, a raiding party of the AVCC signaled a car at Northern by-pass to stop, however, the riders tried to escape while resorting to firing on the police party.
However, the police managed to arrest the riders after exchange of fire. The riders were identified as Wali Muhammad Wallo and Hasnain.
Wali Muhammad is wanted in Chinese engineers’ murder case, besides several cases of kidnap for ransom wanted in Sindh and Balochistan, the police said.
