ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Woman and Youth affairs Sumaira Malik has warned Opposition against politicization of legal and constitutional issues. In a statement issued on Sunday, she lauded lawyers' community of distancing itself from selfish and opportunist political elements, and paid glowing tributes to President Musharraf for giving women their due rights and rightful place in society. She said that when the Reference against the CJ was sent over to President Musharraf he abided by legal and constitutional norms and did accordingly, whereas the opposition tried to take political advantage of the situation and behaved in its traditional hypocritical and derogatory manner, by urging masses for another round of agitation. She lauded public for not heeding to the call of opportunistic political elements, and for experiencing the disarray and widening gulf among the opposition alliance openly, while urging the opposition to mend their ways and behave in a more prudent manner. She said that both President and PM, alongwith their team are making their all out efforts for economic development and prosperity of masses, and Pakistan is bound to be counted as a progressive and developed Country soon.
