Sh Rashid claims Karachi suicide bomber spotted

RAWALPINDI, April 17(Online): Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said head of the suicide bomber behind Nishtar park blast has been found and the real culprits behind the heinous act would be traced.
Talking to representatives of various media organizations after addressing a seminar on Sunday held under the auspices of Pakistan Medicine Association (Punjab Branch) on the topic of ’stomach and modern tendencies’ here at Hamdardian he said those involved behind the Karachi blasts were against the integrity of Pakistan.
On the occasion Central President and Dean Hamdard University Hakim Abdul Hannan, Advisor to the government of Pakistan on Medicine Hakim Ibn Salik, President Hamdard Foundation Pakistan Saadia Rashid, Dr Waseem Khawaja, Gastroenterologist Dr Shoaib Shafi, Hakim Bashir Bhatti and others presented their research thesis on gastroenteritis diseases.
Answering a question, Sheikh Rashid regretted the attitude of blaming each other. He disclosed the suicide blasts in Karachi were of similar nature as the previous suicide bomb explosions that indicate hand of a specific organization behind all.
He said even saying this is beforehand though we are in hot pursuit of the terrorists and soon the real culprits will be brought to justice.
Replying a volley of questions the Federal Minister said we have brotherly relations with Iran and it is our Islamic neighbouring country.
He said President General Pervez Musharraf in his meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince has clearly said that Pakistan and Iran are against all sorts of aggression and want peaceful settlement of issues.
He said nuclear issue of Iran must be solved through mutual process of dialogue.
Replying a query on the possibility of Nawaz Sharif and Benazir’s return before the next general elections the federal minister said that we have been hearing this for the past many years and these are hearsay.
Earlier while addressing the seminar he urged Hamdard Foundation President Saadia Rashid and other medical experts to adopt modern methods of treatment and to help get the massive more aware about ulcer through increased publicity.
