Musharraf assures elements behind Karachi tragic incident to get exemplary punishment

KARACHI, April 17(Online): President General Pervez Musharraf on Sunday held out assurances that Nashtar Park incident was one of the tragic incidents in the history of Karachi and vowed that elements behind the gruesome incident would get exemplary punishment.
Musharraf stated this while addressing a delegation of Ulema headed by Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman at Chief Minister House. He said that the tragic incident in Nashtar Park on Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), in which dozens of the innocent peoples including leadership of the Sunni Tehrik, has grieved him and the nation very much.
He further said that the government had started investigating of the incident and elements involved in the incident would be dealt with iron hands. Today the poor class are confronted with several problems and the incident like Nashtar Park- certainly a conspiracy to destroy the economy of the country- would directly adds mush miseries.
He stressed upon the Ulema and Mashaikh to play their positive role for harmony, unity, mutual dialogues and brotherhood in order to discourage the anti-state-elements.
Islam, a faith of peace, compassion and tolerance condemned terrorism in all its kinds and manifestation. even a single Muslim could not even think about to kill another Muslims and the foreign hand involvement could not be ignored in this respect, President added.
Nashtar Park incident is one of the worst tragic incident among Karachi incidents to create unrest and destabilized the economy of the country, said Musharraf.
President General Pervez Musharraf in his message of condolence to the bereaved families has expressed sympathy and prayed to All Mighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant solace to the member of the bereaved families to bear the great loss with fortitude.
Besides Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad, State Minister for Religious Affairs Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain and Provincial home Minister Rauf Siddqi were also present on the occasion.
