Renowned drama writer Asghar Nadeem Syed attacked

LAHORE: Renowned drama writer Asghar Nadeem Syed was attacked by unknown armed culprits on Tuesday evening near Shaukat Khanam Hospital.
According to details, Syed was returning from university and was near the hospital when some unknown armed motorcyclists opened fire at his car. Police and rescue teams rushed to place and shifted Nadeem to the Doctors Hospital. The police cordoned off the area and launched search to trace and capture the attackers. The doctors have said that Asghar received one bullet in the arm and another on the chest.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan also condemned the attack on Syed.
Syed is one of the most popular Pakistani writers who has written television plays, poetry, short stories, drama serials as well as news columns. He also taught Urdu at Government College University (GCU). He has been teaching for the last 33 years, and an Associate Professor at GCU in the Urdu department for eight years.
