LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Wednesday issued a show-cause notice to the Central Board of Film Censors chairman and others for issuing censor certificate to Indian film 'Dedh Ishqya' despite court restraining orders.
Justice Ijaz Ahmad passed the orders on a contempt petition filed by Muhammad Waris and others against issuing certificate to the film. The court sought a reply from the respondents within two weeks.
Earlier, the counsel for the petitioner Amir Shah arguing before the court submitted that a single bench of the LHC had restrained the censor board from issuing certificates to Indian films on December 20. But despite that, the board issued a censor certificate to Indian film 'Dedh Ishqya' on January 9, he added.

After hearing arguments, the court issued a show-cause notice to the respondents and sought a reply within two weeks.
