Kasuri underlines importance of developing energy corridor from Gwadar to Central Asia and to China

Islamabad, March 26 (Online):A seven member media delegation from the People’s Republic of China called on the Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri on Monday .
The Foreign Minister said that the friendship between Pakistan and China was all-weather and had stood the test of time .
The Foreign Minister briefed the delegation on his recent visit to China, which was a part of regular high level exchanges between Pakistan and China .
The Presidents and the Prime Ministers of the two countries have had regular contacts, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan would visit China in April 2007.This reflected excellent relations between the two countries .
The Foreign Minister underscored the need to further promote economic relations between the two countries. The political and defense relations were excellent .
He said that media could play a major role in this regard by promoting and projecting good political environment and opportunities for economic collaboration .
The private sectors in both the countries were taking a keen interest for enhancing trade and investment .
The Foreign Minister underlined the importance of developing energy corridor from Gwadar to Central Asia and to China .
He also emphasized the strategic importance of oil reservoirs at the Gwadar Port.
