ISLAMABAD: Former Federal Minister and Member National Assembly Nawabzada Khwaja Muhammad Khan Hoti Monday asked the government to ensure safe return of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their homes. “Action should be taken against the suspected extremists but at the same time the doors for dialogue should also remain open,” he said in a meeting with different delegations at Hoti House in Mardan. He said India, Afghanistan and Israel were taking benefit of the internal disturbance in Pakistan, which is dangerous for the stability of the country. “It’s time that all Pakhtuns get united to foil the nefarious designs of our enemies,” he added. He demanded of the provincial governments of Punjab and Sindh to open their doors for Pakhtuns displaced from their homes. “The other provinces should prove through better hospitality that Pakistan is a federation and all stand united to help the displaced persons,” he added. He said Pakhtuns had rendered sacrifices in the Pakistan movement and it is now the turn of other people to reciprocate their hospitality. Hoti asked the provincial government to give attention to transparency in governance rather than involving in corruption. He said those who sit in the corridors of power should get the courage to raise the slogan of “do more for us” rather than listening to the directions of superpowers to “do more”. Hoti demanded ensuring transparency in relief for the IDPs of Swat and Malakand. End.
