RAWALPINDI: Army Chief Staff General Raheel Sharif, Saturday, Pakistan Army had rendered supreme sacrifices for defense and stability of the motherland.

While addressing the troops during his visit to Sulemanki Sector, he appreciated the high morale and operational preparedness of troops and urged the need for continuous training to attain even higher professional standards.

Later, Chief of Army Staff met war veterans and commended their services during various operations. He said that role of both officers and men in defending the territorial frontiers is laudable and worth emulating.

COAS paid rich tributes to the heroic deeds of valour and sacrifices by our Shuhada and Ghazis while defending the motherland. Earlier on arrival at Sulemanki, the COAS was received by Corps commander, Lieutenant General Naweed Zaman.
