5 not 6 Pak prisoners languishing in Gitmo, says Khalid

ISLAMABAD: Chief Coordinator of Protection of Human Rights Khawaja Khalid has contradicted the statement of Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao in which he has said that there are five Pakistani prisoners in Guantamo Bay adding that there are six Pakistani prisoners languishing in Guantamo Bay. While talking to journalists on Tuesday, Chief Coordinator Protection of Human Rights Khawaja Khalid informed them about the condition of prisoners that are Saif Ullah Paracha who is a heart patient and Majid who is also not in best of health and was arrested from Karachi on March 5,2003. He was of the view that they are not in good health and if are not given proper treatment they will die in jail. He was of the view that if treatment is not provided to the prisoners then we will challenge the issue in Supreme Court. He further added that prisoners must be looked after properly as they are tortured in jail stressing that they will challenge the court if their demands are not fulfilled in time.
