MQM Bilqis Mukhtar joined Mustafa Kamal

KARACHI: In the latest addition to Mustafa Kamal’s Pak Sarzameen Party, MQM lawmaker Bilqis Mukhtar on Wednesday joined the former Karachi mayor and his group of dissidents.
“I congratulate Mukhtar on joining the party,” said Kamal during a press conference at his DHA residence accompanied by Mukhtar. “Thousands are joining us. We are receiving calls from all over the world where Pakistanis live,” said Kamal, who has managed to rope in some known, but mostly inactive and sidelined MQM faces, including two members of the provincial assembly since March 3.
Mukhtar announced that she was quitting the MQM and resigning from the membership of the Sindh Assembly. “We gave our services to the MQM for 35 years. I have gathered the courage despite being a woman,” said Mukhtar.
