KARACHI: The Eidul Azha will fall on October 6 (Monday) as the Zil Hajj moon was not sighted on Thursday.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met here on Thursday with its chairman, Mufti Munibur Rehman in chair. The committee did not receive any evidence of moon sighting from zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees in the four provincial capitals and Islamabad.

Saudi Arabia had announced on Wednesday that the Zil Hajj moon has been sighted and Eidul Azha will be celebrated in the kingdom on Saturday, October 4. Saudi authorities announced that the month of Zil Hajj would begin on Thursday. Accordingly the Day of Arafat would fall on October 3.
