TORONTO/LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chairman Tahirul Qadri on Tuesday said the first information report of the incident will be lodged against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the Punjab cabinet, as his son expressed mistrust over the judicial commission announced by the government.

Addressing a press conference via video link from Toronto, Qadri said that eight party workers were martyred and 83 injured due to firing by police. He said the police action was unjustifiable as the barriers were placed on government's order some four years ago.

Qadri said the purpose of this 'state terrorism' was to avenge his support for the ISI and the Pakistan Army in its tussle with a private television. He said chaos was created within the country to distract the attention from operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan. "I want to inform them this movement can never be stopped. There will be Qisas of blood according to Sharia," he said.

The PAT chief questioned if police were there to remove barriers from outside his residence, why did they open fire at the gate of his house. "They destroyed the generator in my house and shut down the electricity. How is this linked with the removal of barriers?" he asked.

Qadri said these 'barbaric' leaders have shown to the world what they can do with their own people. "My workers have raised my head. They have won this event. They will never be defeated," he said, and warned that workers' martyrdom is the beginning of end of the current rule. He said he will visit Pakistan on June 23 as planned earlier and reveal party's future strategy on his arrival at the Islamabad airport.

Hassan Mohayyud Din, son of Tahirul Qadri expressed mistrust over judicial commission announced by the Punjab government. Talking to media on arrival of former chief minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, he said that they do not expect justice from the current system. He slammed the police torture on party workers and vowed to continue struggle for bringing revolution in the country.

End.
