SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, the liberation leaders have reiterated the Kashmiris' resolve to continue freedom struggle against all odds.

The leaders including Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Zafar Akbar Butt, Javed Ahmad Mir and Muhammad Yousuf Naqash while addressing different functions at Humhama in Badgam said that the Kashmiris' sentiment for freedom could not be suppressed by subjecting the peaceful protest demonstrations to brute force. They said that the Kashmiris' struggle was a genuine movement and India needed to fulfil its commitment regarding Jammu and Kashmir.

Senior APHC leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi addressing a public gathering at Beerwa called for resolving the long-pending Kashmir dispute through tripartite talks involving Pakistan, India and the true representatives of the Kashmiris.

Unidentified persons tried to damage the shrine of Ameer Kabeer at Dooru Shahabad in Islamabad town. APHC leader, Mukthar Ahmad Waza addressing a gathering at the shrine said that religious places were being targeted under a conspiracy to undermine the Kashmir freedom movement.

Police arrested 11 Kashmiri youth including Tehsil President of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir and his brother in different areas of the territory. The veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement strongly denounced the arrests.

The Coordinator of Jammu and Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society, Khurram Pervez told media persons that a two-member delegation from the Australian High Commission in New Delhi met human rights activists in Srinagar.

The delegation comprising Consular Political, Diana Nelson and Second Secretary, Brendan Hodgson said that Australia was highly concerned about the discovery of unmarked graves in occupied Kashmir and had been taking up the issue with the Indian government off and on. The delegation expressed its resentment over refusal by puppet regime to conduct the DNA test of those buried in unmarked graves across the territory.
