ISLAMABAD: The detention of the British nationals Rashid Rauf and Abdullah, who have been imprisoned by police in connection with the British Planes` bombing case, has been extended by three further months.
The extension for detention of Rashid Rauf and Aurangzeb was approved by the Federal Review Board appointed by Anti-Terrorist court, which comprises of Supreme Court Judges, Justice Muhammad Faqir Khokhar, and Justice Hamid Ali Mirza, besides Justice Nadir Khan from Balochistan.
Both the accused were brought to the Supreme Court premises under heavy guard of police contingent, while their appeals were dealt with in Court Room No 3.
It is pertinent to note that according to the anti-terror act, the review Board has the powers to detain any person in detention if it feels there is danger of disturbance in law and order situation.
