Plan to change demography will be resisted: Gilani

Srinagar: The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has warned that India is continuously working on its plan to settle non-Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir in order to change the demographic composition of the territory.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that such efforts would be strongly resisted. He maintained that India had failed to suppress the Kashmir movement through brute force and was resorting to other tactics to accomplish its nefarious designs.
The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik talking to media men in Srinagar said that the people of Kashmir would launch a massive agitation if India tried to rehabilitate non-Kashmiris in the territory.
Senior APHC leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi in a statement in Srinagar urged India to make conducive atmosphere for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute. He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiris would not be allowed to go waste.
An Indian trooper committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at Khanpur, Nagrotta in Jammu. This raised the number of such deaths among Indian troops and police personnel to 249 since January 2007.
Dead body of a missing civilian was found at Barsi Dhar in Doda.
