New CJP Justice Nasir vows to provide justice to public

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk Wednesday said that the apex court would continue to work to provide justice to public at large.
CJP said this in his first full court meeting which was held here on Wednesday in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The meeting under the Chairmanship of the Chief Justice Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk and was attended by Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Muhammad Ather Saeed, Justice Sh. Azmat SaeedJustice Iqbal Hameedur Rahman, Justice Mushir Alam, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
Syed Tahir Shahbaz, Registrar, Supreme Court of Pakistan also attended the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Judges congratulated new Chief Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk on assuming the highest judicial office.
The judges reposed confidence in new CJP saying that under his guidance the institution will flourish and process of administration of justice will further be improved.
They assured new CJP of their full cooperation in his efforts to advance the cause of the justice so that expeditious and speedy justice can be ensured.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan thanked the Judges saying that they will continue to work for the betterment of this institution and dispensation of justice to public at large.
The Chief Justice appreciated the commitment and devotion of all the Judges for sitting in various Benches during the summer vacation.
The meeting also discussed different administrative and judicial issues relating to the internal working of the Court.
