Kasuri, Natwar to meet on sidelines of ASEAN Forum

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India Foreign
Ministers would meet on the sidelines
of the Association of South East Asian
Nations (Asean) Regional Forum, which
starts in Laos on July 29. Foreign office sources told Online that Foreign Ministers of 24 countries including Pakistan, India and China are participating in this important Asean regional forum meeting. Sources said that a side line meeting between Pakistani foreign minister Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri and his Indian counter part Natwar Singh is also expected during the conference. Both the leaders would discuss the ongoing composite dialogue process and new confidence building measures. Kasuri will also hold the meeting with his Chinese counter part Mr.L i Chao Shying and discuss the bilateral , regional and international issues with him. Asean will evolve the new strategy to counter the new challenges and threats regarding terrorism and security after the London bomb blasts. New security threats have emerged after the blasts in Britain and we will have to evolve the new and vigorous strategy to eliminate all form of terrorism, sources said. All the members of forum will also discuss the new confidence building measures to face the challenges of terrorism
