MULTAN: Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said on Wednesday that he received show-cause notice issued by the Paksitan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and termed it as an 'honour' for him.

Hashmi said that the show-cause notice is a shame for the party and an honour for him. "The show-cause notice was sent by Jehangir Tareen," he added. Two days ago, the PTI issued a show-cause notice to Hashmi and suspended his membership as the party's president.

In its notice, the PTI summoned Hashmi on September 29 to explain his position for making statements in violation of party's discipline. Hashmi's membership was suspended following his allegations against PTI chief Imran Khan regarding his ongoing protests in Islamabad.

End.
