Foreign interference unacceptable: Pak

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has again categorically made it clear that it will not allow interference of any foreign country in its territory. These views were expressed by Foreign Office Spokesman M Sadiq during a weekly press briefing on Wednesday. Answering a question, Foreign Office Spokesman M Sadiq said that our Security Forces are well equipped to face any challenge including menace of terrorism in our soil. Foreign Office Spokesman M Sadiq termed the recent US Intelligence Report regarding Iran as baseless. He said that Pakistan remain intact with its principle stance concerning Nuclear Program of Iran adding that we support Iran, however made it clear that as a signatory of Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Iran too has some responsibilities. Replying to another question, Foreign Office Spokesman M Sadiq said that we have send two groups to European Union and US for the improvement of political scenario and image of the country where they will meet Pakistani Community and high officials adding that this is not an easy task. Reacting to another query, Foreign Office Spokesman M Sadiq said that Pak-Afghan Jirga will soon be held. He further said that SAARC Council of Ministers meeting would be held in New Delhi on December 7-8. Pakistan will be represented by Foreign Minister Inam ul Haq. Pakistan is committed in its objectives towards SAARC, he maintained. He said that Foreign Minister Inam ul Haq will also meet his Indian counterpart Parnab Mukerjee. Responding to yet another question, FO Spokesperson added that Nuclear Assets of Pakistan are in safe hands stressing that we will not let anyone caste evil eye on it at any cost. End.
