D-8 summit to promote trade, investment among member states: PM

ON BOARD PM AIRCRAFT: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said important decisions were taken during D-8 Summit Conference recently concluded in Bali including Preferential Trade Agreement and establishment of permanent D-8 secretariat. He expressed these remarks while talking to journalists in his aircraft. He said that establishment of D-8 Secretariat would ensure implementation of D-8 Summit decisions. He added that the leaders held discussions about enhancing cooperation in the fields of trade, energy protection and defence whereas focus of discussion was promotion of Science and Technology through promoting its knowledge. Prime Minister said that during his meeting with Turkish Prime Minister and Iranian President, the three leaders stressed on promoting cooperation through all possible measures.
