CPB to be setup in next fiscal Budget: Zobaida

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Social Welfare and Special Education Zobaida Jalal has said that her government would setup a Child Protection Bureau (CPB) in the next Federal Budget. She stated this while talking to Minister for Social Welfare of Bangladesh Ali Ahsan Muhammad Mujahed who called on her at her residence here on Sunday. Talking to the visiting Minister for Social Welfare of Bangladesh, Zobaida Jalal said that Pakistan and Bangladesh are connected with each other in bonds of fraternity and friendship. She said that there was a great need for more interaction between the social welfare Ministries of Pakistan Bangladesh for the betterment of people of both countries. She informed the visiting Minister of Bangladesh that Government of Pakistan is taking proper care of disabled, handicapped destitute and widows and in this regard a National Plan of Action has already been approved by the Federal cabinet for the protection of vulnerable groups and other marginalized segments of the society. She said that Pakistan and Bangladesh can learn more from the experience of each other. Ali Ahsan Muhammad Mujahad said that Bangladesh is keen to further strengthen bilateral relations with Pakistan. The Bangladesh Minister informed Zobaida Jalal that the Prime Minister of Bangladesh has appreciated the peace of economic progress in Pakistan. He informed the Minister about the various measures being taken by the government of Bangladesh for the welfare of special people and alleviation of poverty and invited Zobaida Jalal to visit Bangladesh. High Commissioner of Bangladesh Noor Saghir, Additional Secretary Ministry of Social Welfare and other senior officials of the Ministry of Social Welfare were also present during the meeting.
