The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Friday sought records of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanuallah’s assets and vehicles to continue the probe pertaining to drug case against him.

According to reports, the ANF has sent letters to all the organisations seeking records of his home, lands and various companies.

Sources said that the ANF tighten the noose around two police officials posted in Faisalabad to expand the scope of drug case against Rana Sanaullah. ANF sources asserted that they asked for the records just to ensure if his assets were not being acquired through the money of drug dealing.

The PML-N Punjab president was caught in case of smuggling 15kg heroin. Few days ago, the ANF arrested Sanaullah for investigation, as he had been accused of having links with drug peddlers.

Sources added that the drug dealers were linked to banned organisations. He was arrested near Sukheki while he was on his way to Lahore from Faisalabad to attend a party meeting. Sanaullah is also accused of funding proscribed organisations.

ANF sources further said the charge sheet against the PML-N bigwig would be issued soon. They said a security guard of Rana Sanaullah was also arrested for taking the law into his own hands. Sources said a joint investigation team of the ANF would interrogate Sanaullah, adding that member of proscribed organisation used to travel with PML-N leader.
