"PIDRUM LAW MINISTER BOOD"

Shame on Mr Musharaf

If this is the democracy cultured by a dictator, what else can one expect from home grown pets.Get it !

Umair Zafar's Goondaism

The Minister of Law (an unfamiliar name) should resign and rein in his rowdy son. It is a shame that such an incident occurred, not in an isolated place, but at an airport in the sight of the audience. Double shame on the minister who allowed the incident to happen. In Islamic Shariah the victim is allowed to take revenge by a similar thrashing of the culprit. Let it be remembered that the culprit stands a worse treatment in the hereafter.

The media should pursue the above case by calling the minister and his son both before the audience and to expose them before the audience. The President and the P.M. should also condemn the incident. Public opinion should force the ouster of the upstart minister and his uncultured and rowdy son.

The President of the ruling party PML Q should recommend sacking of the minister. In Singapore, the rowdy son would surely have received some lashes. Wait a while. In the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, such laws of Shariah would be widely welcomed by the masses as this is the only way to rein in "goondaism" and superiority complex in the upstarts families.

My deep sympathy with the victim.

Law minister?

Is there such a thing in Pakistan? Federal minister of law? Interesting to see how his father will react to this, seeing he is the honorable minister of "law".

Nawaz Ali, United Kingdom - 11 August, 2005

I wonder if he still hold his head high. LAW MINISTER ... LAW MINISTER , i repeat , WASI ZAFAR is the MINISTER OF LAW in this country.

THIS IS OUR NATIONAL SHAME that we have such MINISTERS .... LAW MINISTER.

Being Law Minister's son, i am sure, you can beat any one, but try beating Musharaf's kin some day, YOU WILL LEARN YOUR 'AWQAT' Mr. Umair Zafar.

"I don't bother, I don't care".

“"I don't bother,I don't care". Words of a arrogant Minister. Yeh, in Pakistan when we are going to celebrate 58th Independence and this single incident is good enough to see the bloodied face of LAW (in fact by a Minister of Law & Human Rights). We are moving towards those worst days when ordinary, poor and hopeless people would start saying “We don't bother, we don't care about the law”. That would be called first revolution, which will be welcomed by everyone in everywhere in Pakistan.

Shame on you VIPs!

I found the news hard to believe , but thenon second thoughts, any hting can happenin the banana republic of Pakistan. Even more painful was the news that when the "minister" was contacted he simply said, "I don't care" (source: The News ), bravo, keep up the good work, dear minister, but remember you will be answerable in the hereafter.

Nauman Afzal, Pakistan - 14 August, 2005

A shameful exercise of law

This looks a small incident but it tells a big story about the way governments in Pakistan rule. The government officials consider themselves above the law (more so if you are Minister of Law and Human Rights) and consider beating up their subjects their divine right.

Oh fellow Pakistanis...there is still long way to go till we will get true independence. We are still slaves, only that our masters now are local elites instead of white-skinned foreigners...

Protection of HR

What a shame and why he has been made a minister of Human Rights. Instead he should be Minister of Interior.

Shabbar Zaidi, Pakistan - 14 March, 2007

I wish

I wish that there would be a public gathering call & the (beaten up) guy beat that minister son in front of all people so that we can say there is justice in our country. I have to word to say about the Minister of UnJustice... He surely is a Minister of UnJustice...
