ISLAMABAD: The Ulema and religious elements of the Capital City, Islamabad have strongly condemned the recent action of government against Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa, terming it as a declaration of all-out war against Madaris.

The Ulema made fiery speeches against the governmental action, which according to them was a calculated move to push the Country towards socialist tendencies.

They also strongly condemned the sabotaging of ongoing peace talks between government and Lal Masjid administration, and termed the operation as a step to earn the good offices of its western and American masters, and also expressed their extreme displeasure at the fact that army soldiers had trampled the sanctity of mosque with their army boots, condemning them as infidels.

Terming the brutal target killing of innocent residents of Lal Masjid as simply unforgivable and a heinous act, they expressed their doubts, that all the madaris could be falsely indicted and assaulted at free will.

Expressing their full doubts and reservations about the actual circumstances that led to the brutal and unsurpassed martyrdom of Abdul Rashid Ghazi, they seemed amazed that while talks with India were going on since long, a similar strategy could not be adopted with lal Masjid.

They also immediate demanded reconstruction of the felled Lal Masjid, and expressed their extreme anger at the indiscriminate disgrace meted out to copies of The Holy Quran, and said that Musharraf would be answerable before God for his heinous acts.

They also warned the government to end vendettas against seminaries, failing otherwise the 1,50,000 students of these seminaries would face the army with their rifles , and accused Musharraf of receiving million for this disgraceful and heinous act.
