US disburses $352 m CSF tranche to Pakistan: Olson

ISLAMABAD: The United States has disbursed $352 million tranche of Coalition Support Fund to Pakistan.
This was stated by US Ambassador in Pakistan Richard Olson during a meeting with Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad Tuesday.
The American ambassador said his country wants to further improve ties with Pakistan.
Olson said a four-member Congressional Defence Committee delegation will visit Pakistan this week to review prospects of promoting bilateral cooperation in the field.
The Finance Minister thanked the US Government for disbursing the tranche of $352 million for the January-March 2013 quarter and requested early processing and disbursement of remaining tranches.
The two also discussed the upcoming meeting of the Economic Working Group scheduled to be held in Washington in the second week of April.
Meanwhile‚ Dutch Ambassador in Pakistan Marcel de Vink also called on Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and exchanged views on ways to promote bilateral cooperation in diverse fields.
The minister said Pakistan wants to promote bilateral ties and trade with the Netherlands. He also thanked the Netherlands for helping Pakistan getting GSP Plus status in the European Union.
