SAARC foreign secretaries meeting on April 10

ISLAMABAD: Two-days foreign secretaries level meeting of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) member states is scheduled to commence in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka on April 10.
Foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India during the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) foreign secretaries level talks will also hold one-on-one meeting to exchange views on bilateral matters. Foreign secretaries Riaz Muhammad Khan will lead the Pakistani delegation.
The delegates would explore ways and exchange views as to how further reorganize the Saarc and strengthen its secretariat. Ahead of scheduled foreign secretaries level talks, programming committee comprising senior officials of Saarc will meet on April 7 and 9 to workout agenda for foreign secretaries level talks.
The meeting would deliberate observer status for China and Japan. Foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India would hold one-on-one meeting to exchange views on the ongoing dialogue process and other issues relating to India and Pakistan.
