Qadri hints at alliance with Imran

14 October, 2014

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Tahirul Qadri has said that his party could form an electoral alliance with Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

"This is my wish to see both the parties together in elections as well," said the PAT chief in his exclusive interview to a private channel in Faisalabad city of Punjab. He claimed that PAT's Sunday rally in the city "opened gates of victory" in his anti-government campaign.

Qadri said he would hold more public meetings including in Abbottabad and other cities. He claimed there is no 'feudalism' in his faction. "Neither my party is of feudal lords' nor are looters in it. I don't want any influence of waderas into my party. We have to get back rights of the poor." "I say even today save the state, and not the politics," he said.

Qadri announced his plan for holding public meetings in other cities following rally in Faisalabad on Sunday. According to Qadri, the PAT will hold public meeting in Bhakkar on November 23, Sargodha December 30 and December 7 in Mianwali.
