NEW YORK: Pakistani Mission for UN has contradicted news reports that Mukhtaran Mai will meet Pakistan’s ambassador to UN Munir Akram at dinner at his residence on May 2.

Sources at the Pakistani mission for UN said that news reports about Mai’s meeting with Pakistan’s ambassador in UN are baseless and concocted.

Meanwhile, Mukhtaran Mai’s host in US Amana Buttar told Online news agency that Mai did not receive formal invitation for dinner from Pakistani Mission in New York.

She said that Mai would be awarded number of awards in US.
