Detail : Robert Huth is a strong central defender who left his hometown club Union Berlin to join Chelsea as a teenager in 2000. He made his Chelsea debut in 2002 and scored his first goal in a UEFA Champions League qualifier in 2003. When occasionally venturing forward, the youngster has the ability to unleash a powerful shot on goal. Started eight Premiership games in 2003/04, a season in the course of which he represented his country in the FIFA World Youth Championship and UEFA European U-21 Championship. Had only limited first-team opportunities in Chelsea's successful 2004/05 campaign.
