Profile:
A star player for Partizan Belgarde, Nenad Djordjevic is a fine central defender who has the misfortune to play in a position where Serbia & Montenegro are blessed.
After conceding only one goal in qualification for Germany, it is perhaps unsurprising that Djordjevic has been unable to split the partnership of Nemanja Vidic and Mladen Krstajic.
But Ilija Petrovic will be very happy to have an understudy of such quality should one of his first-choice pairing break down.
Djordjevic learned his trade at Belgrade-based side FK Obilic before joining Partizan in 2003.
He made an impression there and was part of the side that knocked Newcastle United out of the UEFA Cup in 2004.
