KARACHI: Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has claimed that the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants in North Waziristan was launched due to political pressure of his party.

In a statement on Sunday, Bilawal Bhutto termed this military operation against terrorists as the "best policy" and said there should not be any compromise on the writ of the state.

Commenting on the political situation, the PPP chairman said that the remnants of dictatorships are trying to derail democracy, as they themselves desire to come into power. He further said that there would be no compromise on democracy and reconciliation.

End.
