US Muslim scholars issue Fatwa against terrorism

WASHINGTON, July 29 (Online): North America’s premier council of Islamic scholars issued a Fatwa against terrorism, telling young Muslims they would be committing a sin against God if they indulged in extremism. The religious edict, issued by the Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA), ruled that suicide bombings were "Haram" and said anyone guilty of such "barbaric acts are criminals, not ‘matyrs.’ " "There is no justification in Islam for extremism or terrorism," said the Fatwa, issued in Washington in English, Arabic and Urdu. "All acts of terrorism targeting civilians are ‘Haram’ in Islam," the edict, endorsed by more than 120 Muslim groups and leaders, went on. "It is haram for a Muslim to cooperate with any individual or group that is involved in any act of terrorism or violence. "It is the civic and religious duty of Muslims to cooperate with law enforcement authorities to protect the lives of all civilians." The Fatwa contained a prayer for "our country" the United States, and for inter-faith harmony across the world. End.

Response to US Muslims' Fatwa |
I look to news sources outside the US to guage the effectiveness of this kind of fatwa. This fatwa is most welcome in the US, where Mulsims live in dar-ul-harb, but if it isn't recieved well in Pakistan or other mostly Islamic countries outside the US, from dar-ul-aman, then it can't do much by itself to improve east-west relations. It needs a similar response from the east. If this kind of fatwa were issued from dar-ul-aman, then the hearts of people on both sides of the conflict may begin to understand one another better.
A reasonable and measured response to unreasonalbe circumstances is always the best course of action, regardless of whichever side you take on an issue. Responses which escalate tentions are like "cutting off one's own nose because they don't like their own face" - it's counter productive.
So this fatwa is welcome, but can we hear an "ameen" from the east?

Its right to issue a FATWA against terrorism. Suicide is harram in Islam as said by the Scholars. Killing innocents who done no harm is not allowed in Islam.

to send foreign soldiers home with economic surahs to create job employment fresh water wages (home and abroad).
