ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) MNA Ijaz Virk stunned the National Assembly on Tuesday when he disclosed that two members of the Lower House of parliament carried weapons with them in the House.
Virk did not reveal the names of the members carrying weapons, but pointed out that the weapons they had were pistols, and that they had been carrying them for the last four years.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik assured the House of investigations into Virk's allegations.
The minister was also stunned over the revelation, saying there were several layers of security and it was not possible for anyone to carry weapons. He assured all the members that a report would be submitted in the House in three days.
