LAHORE: Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar said that three-year programme was chalked out for economic stability and the financial loss would be brought down to four percent

He said that the PML-N government policy was not aimed at aid but trade. He said that the financial reforms were inevitable for economic stability in the country. The finance minister was expressing these views in Lahore on Sunday. He said that Rs134 billion were reduced in the governmental expenditures. He said 8000MW inexpensive electricity would be produced in next four years.

Dar said that the loan had been taken from IMF for paying back of $8 billion taken by the previous government. He said that there was improvement in the image of Pakistan at international level after the IMF programme and the confidence of foreign investors increased on the Pakistani economy.

Dar said that promotion of export through GPS Plus would help in making the basic structure and efforts would be made to get access to the US markets.

End.
