MARDAN: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman on Sunday said there was no definition of terrorism and extremism in the UN and Geneva Conventions, Human Rights Charter and that America had defined it as bloodshed and implemented it on madrassas and its students.

He expressed these views while addressing a "Fuzalaa Conference" arranged in connection with dastar bandi at the Jamia Rabbani on Sunday.

Fazl said that there was a network of more than 15,000 madrassas under the Wafaqul Madaris from which more than 100,000 religious scholars completed their religious education and came out to serve the people. He said these madrassas were working under the laws of the government.

He said the policies of the establishment, government and bureaucracy were destroying the country, while the policies of JUI-F and the religious scholars were safe. "By force don't push us towards terrorism and extremism," he added.

He said that Pakistan had lost $90 dollars in the so-called war of terror while the US had given aid worth six to seven billion dollars only to Pakistan in the last 10 years.

He questioned how Pakistan could eliminate terrorism within its borders, especially in Waziristan, through army operations, if in the last 10 years America and NATO forces could not eliminate it in Afghanistan and had instead destroyed the country along with Iraq, Lebanon and other Arab countries in its name.

"Tribesmen are loyal to this country and Pakistan government through its army operations wants to compel them to change their loyalty," he added.

Fazl said that through operations seeds of hatred were being cultivated that would destroy future generations. He added that his party would support any decision made by the people of FATA.

He said that Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) was a good experiment and its reorganisation was the need of the hour but unfortunately the Defa-e-Pakistan Council was proving to be a hurdle in its restoration.

"For the last 62 years the country has been ruled by the agents of Christians and now the agents of Jews want to rule the country," he said.

He said that JUI-F would continue its struggle for change in the country under the constitution and law of Pakistan.

District Ameer Maulana Shujaul Mulk and others also addressed the meeting.

End.

Taliban apologist

This fool is is exactly the kind of poorly educated extremist that facilitates jihadi terrorists...he doesn't understand the concept of terrorism because he believes in continuous war with the west, Christians, Jews, and anyone else who isn't Muslim...from the non Muslim point of view, radical jihad is the definition of terrorism... and this person is a terrorist supporter...
