Tasadduq appointed as acting CEC

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry has appointed the senior judge of Supreme Court Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jillani as acting Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Pakistan.
He has been appointed as acting CEC after the acceptance of resignation of Fakhrudin G Ibrahim. Jillani will perform his duties as CEC until the appointment of new CEC.
CJP appointed the senior judge Tassadduq Hussain as acting CEC following the constitution parameters.
