ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq on Tuesday constituted a seven-member committee to probe into allegations labeled by outspoken MNA Jamshed Dasti who has alleged that lawmakers are involved in immoral activities.

The motion to form committee was tabled by federal minister Zahid Hamid, which was passed un opposed in the lower house of the Parliament.

The committee would consist of Arif Alvi, Imran Zafar Laghari, Rohail Asghar, Kazim Ali Shah, Shahida Akhtar Ali, Sohail Mansoor and Mian Manan.

The committee would probe into allegations made by Jamshed Dasti and submit its report to the speaker within 15 days.

Independent Member in National Assembly Jamshed Dasti, who sparked a controversy by accusing the follow lawmakers of adultery and using alcohol in Parliament Lodges last week, had demanded the constitution of a judicial commission to investigate into the issue.

Earlier, Jamshed Dasti had revealed some shocking information in the parliament by claiming that usage of wine, call girls and drugs become usual activities in parliament lodges, the official residence of lawmakers.
